Day 4 – your favorite book

Favorite Book.....

I probably don't have just one. I really like My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. Good book with an unexpected twist for the ending.

Day 2 of OK trip. Great fun. We are enjoying the family and friends. The two boys i babysat years ago are here and are taller than me....not fair!!
Dinner tonight with the group. Christmas with mom's side tomorrow and Friday with Dad's and back on Saturday.

Merry Christmas.....Day 2 (HAHA)

Favorite Movie:

My favorite movie of all time is A Walk to Remember. I have loved that movie and could watch it everyday. Actually, when it first came out, i did. I love Mandy Moore and Shane West as actors and the movie is made well. I cried the first hundred times i saw it and still cry on occasion when i watch it. I love it.


Today is christmas eve! I am hanging out at the theater today and then heading to John's parents for christmas with his extended family. Then we are doing christmas with his parents and sibs in morning and christmas with mine in the afternoon.

I love christmas time. The snow, giving, food, family, songs......

DAY 1--Favorite Song

That is a great question. My iTunes library would say that, as of right now, it is Laughed Until We Cried, by Jason Aldean. I however would not say that is my "favorite song". That question is a very difficult one because i like a lot of songs for different reasons. Maybe it should be broken down in to categories, like favorite love song, favorite workout song, favorite sad song, favorite funny song, favorite christmas song...

Gifts!

We are finally registered at Kohl's and Target!

It was a lot of fun. We were in Kohl's for 2 and a half hours...and they they couldn't get the info to show on their server. But thankfully when we decided to just do it again online, it was there. :D But after that fiasco, we decided just to register online at target. I think we are all done with that.

The wedding is in less than 6 months!! I had my first freakout on the 11th. I haven't really thought a whole lot about it till now because of school and that stress so with the semester over I am thinking about it a lot more. I really want to get a good amount of stuff done but we are gonna be gone for a week. Hopefully i can figure out a time that me and mom can meet with Sally to see what we need to do.

I am getting excited! I have a lot to do, but it will be here before i know it.

Very large apartment

As of two days ago I officially live by myself. However, casey still has stuff here. This is on there verge of annoyance seeing as she is no longer paying rent here, and i can't move any of my stuff around because hers is still here.
But she also is busy and i don't have much stuff yet anyway. John will be moving some of his stuff over here over break so i will have furniture again. The couches and table are gone, but the entertainment center and her desk and some random stuff is still here. It all should be out in the next few days.

On another note, this was my last day of classes for the semester. It is amazing how time flies. John and I are getting married in just over 6 months, and i graduate in just over 5. I still have school after that, but i will have a degree. It is just so crazy!

I just wanted to put in an update. I have finals starting next week and i need to be studying.

Beginning to look a lot like Chrismas!!

I am a little bummed... It is the middle of November and I haven't seen a flake of snow. Don't get me wrong... I am not a fan of Ohio snow.... But I love Christmas snow.

I love Apple

Apple announced the new update (Lion) to come out next summer...super excited. Along with it, they introduced the new iLife 11', which is available now. So i ordered it. Probably shouldn't have....but i couldn't wait. It is set up to ship out tomorrow.

My rational is that i will use the updated iPhoto for my guestbook I am making. :D

I also got my new brides magazine in the other day and it has a few really cute ideas.

My favorites are ribbon wreath, colorful escort cards, and paper flower decorations.

I think I will use at least one or two of the ideas. They are really cute and simple.

Awesome Auntie!

Went shopping today with Casey. She needed a few things and we needed some roomie time. So we headed to the mall in Findlay. I got four new shirts...two thermal (black and white), and two thinner long sleeves (purple and white) for under my vest. I was pretty pleased. And i couldn't resist when i found a outfit for my new niece. :D What could be better than telling the world that her aunt is awesome?

Old Friends, Babies, and Wedding Update

Thursday started my weekend pretty well. I got to hang out with one of my friends from class outside of class. We haven't done that a lot with the crazy school stuff going on and def. needed some Kendra/ Sabreana hang out time. So we made dinner, which consisted of pigs in a blanket and mac and cheese (Yes...i am still in college) and we watched a couple of movies. It was really nice because i found promo codes from red-box so we rented Letters to Juliet and The Killers for free. Both were really good movies, and it was really nice to just hang out without the the worry of homework for a night. And then Friday, Maegan (my maid of honor) came and hung out. So i got two relaxing days. It was really great.

But it isn't over yet...Cassie came and visited me for the weekend as well. She showed up around 7am on Saturday and stayed till Sunday afternoon. We had A LOT of catching up to do. We talked a lot, went out to eat, and watched a movie. So this weekend was crazy...and that was just till Sunday.

Sunday morning, around 2am, John showed up like he usually does. He drives over after work and then stays till Tuesday morning. Around 11am on Sunday, we got a text from his mom that Alicia's (his sister) water had broke and she was at the hospital. So John and i got around and headed back to be there for the birth of our niece.

Chloe Marie Hoover

born on Sunday, October 17th at 7:26 pm. He was 8lbs 2 oz and 20.5 inches long. She is beautiful and i can't wait till i get to see her again.

As far as I know, all are doing very very well.

OH..and i got a few more wedding things in. Nothing big...some paper, envelopes....and Save the Dates. So I am planning on getting those out very soon!

Update on Wedding Stuff

So the other weekend my mom and i sat down for some wedding planning stuff. I ordered the cake topper, and the sand ceremony vases set. I can't wait to see them. We also decided on the basic set up of the ceremony and reception. And we know more of what the church has that we can use. I need to get save the dates out soon. But i can' decide on how i am going to order them. I want to do postcards, but i don't know if i should make them, or order them from a website.

But we got a lot of stuff done and i am feeling a lot better...and more on track.

I finally got my tattoo. After about 2 years of waiting. I love it an i think it turned out better than i expected.

No title

School starts a week from monday. I am ready to go back. I am ready to have stuff to do again. Last day of work was yesterday. I am glad, but i am going to miss that paycheck. We leave for Washington on Tuesday to take Micah to school. That is gonna be fun.

I felt like posting but i don't have much to say. I don't think anybody reads it anyway, so it doesn't really matter. But this is for me anyway.

Can i please have my car back?

My a/c in my car is out, so my parents said to take my brothers car. It has a/c and runs great. The only thing really is that it leaks oil and you have to check it. Ok. Fine. No big deal.

Saturday, I'm getting ready to head out to the post office to send off the books i sold...and the car wont start. GREAT

Whatev...so i try to jump it today. And it still won't start.

Yeah...a great car. bunch of bull.

On the positive side. My Maegan is coming to see me tomorrow. Hopefully I can figure something out. I am leaving for a wedding and my brothers grad/going away part this weekend.

And I get to see my Hunny soon :D

Photo Shoot

The first of our pictures. Thanks so much to Bryan Chris, our photographer. He did an awesome job! And we made it through the shoot without rain. I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the pictures in the next couple of weeks.

Picture Day

In a few hours john and i are going to be getting our engagement pictures taken. The weather has held up so far so i am hoping we won't have a problem getting them done. We are first going to Ox Bow Park. We have coordinating outfits and will hopefully get a few really good pictures there. Then we are taking motorcycle pictures :D I am not sure where we are going, but our photographer, Bryan, seemed pretty excited for these pics. He wants to do them in a "tougher" location. We are both wearing black, with our own style of course, and that should be really fun. We aren't taking them until 7, so it will start to get dark when we start the motorcycle pics. I am really excited. I the only recent pics I have had professionally done were school pics, or church directory pics. The last time before school pics was those pics my mom had done at walmart of me and my brother at the age of 7...or something like that. John is off getting the bike cleaned for tonight, and then i think we are napping!

Birthday!

Went to my best friends house for the weekend of her birthday. She just turned 21 on friday. We went out with her parents on thursday night to get a midnight drink (or three). Friday we planned on going to Kings Island, but it was suppose to storm the whole day. So instead we went shopping. I got 4 new shirts and a new pair of shoes. We also went out friday night to The Yellow Rose Night Club.

HA. that was fun.

Happy Birthday to Maegan Newsom! We had a ton of fun this weekend.

Time

We don't have enough, but there is too much sometimes.

24 hours in a day sometimes doesn't give us enough time to do what we want or need to. Other days I feel like the day just drags on. Why is that?

These few days I am spending time with my brother. He is staying at the apartment with me while he has the week off. I have to work, but he gets to relax. We have been watching movies today....just to pass the time. i,robot, Disturbia, and i am legend.

In 5 days it will be 11 months till our wedding. That time is going to go by really fast and really slow.

An, Almost, Washington Apple

It would be better with cranberry juice. For one, it would be red, two, it wouldn't be so....alcoholy? Instead, it is green and STRONG. Which is kinda what i was looking for. But i didn't have many choices.

I need to come up with things to do when i am bored. Like a list of things to get me up and moving. I though of exercising, which i should do, but i have not motivation. Instead, i watched 8 episodes of Charmed, took a nap and am now drinking and going to eat pudding.

I am having one of those days. Just a crappy feeling day. They happen occasionally. Just a day where nothing is appealing. Sometimes it happens for no reason, and other days it is triggered.

I think it was triggered today.

Breaking in new shoes

Over the past few weeks, i have felt like i am on my own. I am in an apt with a great friend, who i never see. Summer is crazy. She works a lot, and when she isn't working she is with her boy. I am not complaining. I like the "silent". I am home alone and I do things my way. I watch the movie i want, and wash the dishes when I want and walk around in my new heels just because I can.
It is nice.

I also am getting use to seeing John more often, but also trying not to get too use to it because there are weeks that i don't see him. I want to get use to having him around all the time because in less than a year, i will be living with him, forever!

that is something that i am still trying to get my head around. i am going to be married to him and i will never be alone again, and i am so excited!


This next year is going to be such an adventure. Living in an apt with a friend, my second year as an ots, planning a wedding, working (hopfully), and then getting married. It is such a big year.



I know i am going to trip and fall...the accomplishment will be made when i stand back up.

364 days to go...

Less than one year. From here on out, I have got to start the planning process more intently. I am so excited. I am so ready for June 11. I got his ring in yesterday and just want to be able to put it on his finger permanently. But one year compared to a life time isn't that long, especially when i have been sharing the last two and a half years with him.

I am amazed at how fast life flies by. Tomorrow is my brother's high school graduation. It was just yesterday that we were playing out in the ditch by our house, gathering tadpoles for pet frogs. He finished school in December, but is finally graduating. Then we have till the middle of August till he leaves for school in Spokane, Washington. That is 2,040 miles or 34 hours from my apt. (Road-trip anyone????) We will be out there the week before school starts to get him settled in and get all the things he needs. I thing that is going to be a fun trip. I have never been to the Northwest of the US. It is going to be a neat experience. I think it will be really good for him too. He will be living in a house with 5 other guys...which will be an experience in itself. Also, attending college is something so new. You are finally out on your own and have to make 90% of your own decisions-especially living that far away. He will do so well though. And i know he will enjoy it. He visited and loved it, and I know God with be with him every step of the way.
