Simple Clutch

Today i decided to sew a little and see what I could do. I have had my sewing machine since this past christmas and have only done minimal sewing. 

I found a tutorial on making a clutch that was really easy so I took a chance: 

I used a pair of bermuda shorts that were going to goodwill so i cut them up, 

i had the buttons left over in my collection from coats and shirts,

and the strap is a scrap piece 

Not super fancy, but pretty cute. Plan on making a few more that are a little more creative.

Catching up on Cricut

Since i am only able to cricut a few days or less a week I am not keeping up on here as well. So here is an update on my most recent projects.....

This is the card i made for my mother-in-laws birthday. it says "it's your birthday" inside. 

This project is not finished. I am making a poster/halloween decor for my mom's library. i need a background for it but that is about it. I love my Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge!!

This is a card for my Brother who is in Florida for school. Probably will send some candy along with it. 

I made this for my dad's birthday. I hope he likes it! It is an exploding card and i used "masculine" paper and birthday stamps and cut outs from my cartridges.

And last, but not least, this is a card for my niece's 1st birthday...not i just have to get a gift!

Birthday Cards!

So it was my friend's birthday this past week and i decided to make her a card. I also made a little card to put with a gift for a young boy.

I had a slight fail on the birthday card...if you don't notice then I am not gonna tell. She won't notice so I didn't worry about it.  :D

This is for a 3 year old boy (inspired by my cousin's son who turned three recently) I just wanted to see what i could do using the envelope and a card. 

I have decided i need a larger Cricut. Mine is the small and only prints up to 6x12. Envelops need to be bigger than that.

Oh well. Maybe someday

I also made my mother-in-law a card but I haven't taken a picture yet. I will post it soon.

Walmart Haul!

Like I said, this is my first video. :D I was so excited about my finds!! They are great! I spent less than $15 on all of this...97 cents each!

I am going to try to post a lot more of my projects on here.

Mr. & Mrs. John Wright

So we have now been married for 83 days! I am now back as school part of the week and here in Goshen the rest. We are adjusting fairly well. It was interesting and strange the first few weeks after getting back from the honeymoon but then it began to sink in. Now we are getting use to being apart again, which is easier because that is what we had been doing the last 4 years. 

I love being married. I am permanently bound to my best friend and he is always and will always be there for me. It has been fun and I know the adventure has just started. 

One question I continually get its when is the baby due?...Well, we are waiting until we have been married at least a year before trying. That way I will be done with school completely before the babies come. I can't wait to ad mom to my roles, but our situation isn't the best for an addition right now. 

School is good. Last year of classes have started and I am already fairly swamped. It is good though. I like to stay busy. The busier I say the less time I have to think and worry about things (because that is one think I am very good at).

Pictures of the wedding came out beautifully and we have over 1000 from our photographer and almost as many from friends and family! These are just a couple of my favorites.

47 Days!

So we are at 47 days today, finally under 50!

I can't believe it. This is my last week of undergrad classes, and i have finals next week followed by my graduation!

THEN...just over a month till the wedding!

It is getting so close.

I got to spend these last four days with family for Easter. It was really nice. I went shopping with my mom and got some more wedding stuff done. I think all the favors are complete...unless more people rsvp than i think will. They are cute!

The MOG also got her dress, she looks very pretty in it. An mom and I looked in to food and paper goods for the wedding. I am down to a lot of time/detail stuff. I need to figure out what is going to happen when and just finish detail stuff.

I know this is a very exciting time, but in a way i am ready for it to be June 11 so I can marry my best friend.

OH...and i am officially at 25 lbs down! and my Wedding dress fits AMAZING!
